A fan of Firefox's Ubiquity does a demo at MozCamp Utrecht

Earlier this year, the Mozilla Foundation kicked off a series of local workshops open to the public that aim to encourage Internet users to reflect and share their thoughts on what the open web means to them and what we can do to help ensure that it remains open and accessible to all.

What are MozCamps?

MozCamps are local events for people passionate about the open web. Each event includes discussion, hands-on-demos and collaborative scheming about ways to promote and protect the open participatory nature of the internet. Local Mozillians, bloggers, designers, hackers, creative commoners and other friends of the open web all participate and give short presentations if they wish to do so. These events aren't just about Mozilla. They are about making the web more open.
