Marketing/Skills
Our Strength Is Diversity
Mozilla is successful because of its incredibly diverse community, which brings a variety of talents and skills. Anyone that wants to can contribute to the Community Marketing effort in some way. We have tried to make it as easy as possible to find what you need here. And if you don't know where to get started, here are some ideas.
Writing
If you enjoy writing, you may well have a blog. (Why not? Make your voice heard!) Why not write about your experiences (whatever they are) with Mozilla: check out the Blogging and Tagging section. It is really easy to get started with blogging, and there are plenty of free blogging services such as Wordpress or Dotclear.
If you want to promote Mozilla from your blog, it is easy to become part of the Mozilla affiliates program. You might also want to read up on the causes we think are important to the web.
Mobilizing
If you enjoy interacting with people you can be a great asset to the Mozilla community. You don't have to be confident or charming, just being open is great, and we welcome fresh ideas. See if there is a Mozilla community near you, or see if there are any events in your area. Maybe you would have fun dreaming up a guerrilla activity and getting other people involved.
Speaking
If you enjoy public speaking, (and some people do!), the events team would love to hear from you. If you have other opportunities to speak in public beyond the events Mozilla is already involved in, we also have some resources to help with that. Perhaps you would even like to be a spokesperson for the Mozilla community.
Analyzing
If you enjoy reading and analysis, if you have ideas about what Mozilla should do, please share them. We are open to Our Users|analysis, or if there is material you've read you think we should be aware of, you could get in touch with our Press team.
Creating
If you are a visually creative person, there are lots of opportunities to get involved with the Mozilla community, creating T-shirt designs and collaborating with others on art projects.
