Marketing/Sponsorships
Mozilla’s communities are deeply committed to the project and we, of course, want to contribute to those who have helped us move the project forward, and this can include those who are marketing Mozilla software.
If you are looking for specific assistance with holding a Mozilla Community Event, please visit the Events Page.
Community Giving Program
The Community Giving Program is a grant program that aims to support and strengthen the activities of extremely dedicated community contributors, including marketeers. As the program grows, Mozilla looks to expand to supporting new contributors and new projects around the world. To learn more about Mozilla's Community Giving and Empowerment program, including how to nominate someone for a grant, or how to apply yourself, see the Community Giving Program site.
Contact Seth Bindernagel for more information about the Community Giving and Empowerment program.
Mozilla Foundation Grants
The Mozilla Foundation also makes grants in support of the Foundation's mission to promote openness, innovation, and opportunity on the Internet. Information about Mozilla Foundation Grants is available on Frank Hecker’s blog.
Common Criteria
If you wish to nominate someone, or apply for sponsorship or a grant yourself, you should always bear in mind the following questions:
- What will the idea or project do to promote Mozilla’s mission?
- Does this opportunity represent a small level of support that will have a large impact on others in the Mozilla community?
- Does the project in some way empower other members of the community?
- How will this support impact others both in Mozilla and in the larger user-community?
