Mozilla is a world wide open project that promotes participatory approach to improve the Internet. In result Mozilla exists in many places on many different levels and can be tasted in many flavors. Beside of the central entity - Mozilla Foundation - that acts as a moderator of the project, Mozilla values are being promoted and deployed by many local and global communities across the world.

Mozilla is shaped by many different layers of organization, and trying to name and structurize it is extremely hard. You can try to think of that as a sphere and each community is one small sphere inside it that may overlap other small spheres. One of the dimensions is listing efforts by region where they happen and where people involved are living.

We have many developers, quality assurance experts, testers, and other contributors in virtually all places on Earth, and you can look for people who work in your region, but Mozilla has also grown plenty of local communities who focus on working locally to fulfill Mozilla mission. They're crucial to the success of the project, they're very independent and different but they all share Mozilla values and have a great impact on both, the project itself and the health of Internet in their region.

You may contact any of those groups and join the discussion that happens usually on local forums, local Social Network Sites or IRC channels. Many local communities organize events, where you can meet and talk to people who are working together to make the Internet a better place for us all.
